Public Records Requests
To make a public records request for reports, inmate records, documents, etc., the following options are available:
( during regular business hours – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays)
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office may provide records in paper or electronic format depending on the nature and volume of the records requested. If you have any questions concerning a request for records or documents, please do not hesitate to contact us at 850-875-8817 where a member can assist you. Please be aware there are exemptions to certain requests, if your request is exempted or confidential from public records you will be notified in writing with the specific statutory citation afforded by Florida Statute 119. “Exemption” means a provision of general law which provides that a specified record or meeting, or portion thereof, is not subject to the access requirements of s. 119.07(1), s. 286.011, or s. 24, Art. I of the State Constitution. Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
