The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with the public as well as representatives from media agencies.

The PIO handles agency news releases and works with the members of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office to present information to the general public and media on the most up-to-date information concerning matters in the community.

The Public Information Office receives media-related calls and responds to media inquiries. The PIO also coordinates media coverage in an effort to assist other divisions in locating fugitives, ascertaining publicly available / releasable information pertinent to criminal investigations and finding missing persons.
