Public Information & Public Relations OfficeThe Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with the public as well as representatives from media agencies. The PIO handles agency news releases and works with the members of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office to present information to the general public and media on the most up-to-date information concerning matters in the community. The Public Information Office receives media-related calls and responds to media inquiries. The PIO also coordinates media coverage in an effort to assist other divisions in locating fugitives, ascertaining publicly available / releasable information pertinent to criminal investigations and finding missing persons. Please be aware that when engaging with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) through social media, you agree to adhering that you will not post comments or material on the agency social page that is graphic, obscene or explicit. We do not allow comments that are abusive, threatening, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization or comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity. The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office provides limited public forums, please keep your comments appropriate. Inappropriate comments are subject to deletion by the agency.
