Communications Division

The Communications Division is the important link between our citizens needing assistance and first responders arriving on the scene. The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division receives and dispatches complaints for emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance. The Communications Division dispatches not only call for law enforcement services but fire rescue and ambulance as well.
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division serves the area of Gadsden County, Florida, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The county of Gadsden includes (12) twelve fire departments, (5) police departments, (1) one emergency medical services agency, and the Sheriff’s Office.
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office coordinates with police departments, fire departments, and emergency medical services that operate within the county to provide assistance to callers during emergency and non-emergency situations that require first responders to be dispatched.

Public Safety Telecommunicators receive, dispatch, and provide real time information to Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS personnel critical information during routine calls, emergency calls, and even storms and other weather-related events.

In the event you need to call 911 or request emergency services remember:

• Stay calm
• Provide the call-taker with your most accurate address
• Answer the call-takers questions as they dispatch emergency services to you
• Try to provide the call-taker with as much accurate information as possible
• Stay on the line until the call-taker says it’s ok to disconnect
